Tendergold Exhibit: Sensations of the Caribbean

Paintings by Adrián Gómez Guzmán and Sculptures by Abdelkabir El Mouhibb
Artists' Reception: May 10 | 5:00 - 8:00 pm (no admission fee required)

The works of Costa Rican artist Adrián Gómez are representations of a wide range of the artist's interests which include painting, drawing, sculpture, murals, graphics, luminous art, glass, utility objects, and recycled materials. The materials used create figurative art filled with Afro-descendant imagery which explains the language of the Caribbean, its people, and their way to breathe and approach life. His art allows the viewer to perceive the Caribbean area as a colorful universe of its own kind. Abdelkabir is a Franco-Morrocan artist and sculptor of recycled metal. He was born in Essaouira, Morocco and has held exhibits in Morocco and France. His works, he describes, are inspired by "daily life, dreams, and poetic moments and humor."
