Ruhi Lines: Arabic Calligraphic

In this, three hour workshop participant will learn about spirituality connected with creativity as Arabic Calligraphy is Divine art and relates to God’s word.  Ruhi means spiritual and artist Salma Arastu with her experience of creating large canvases with flowing lyrical lines has designed this workshop to give participants a flavor of classical Arabic calligraphy written in contemporary style with spiritual brush strokes.

You will learn to practice the Arabic Calligraphy with angled brush rather than traditional way of writing with bamboo pen and unleash your imaginative powers with free and flowing use of the brush on paper or canvas. In first half you will be introduced about traditional and contemporary methods of writing and spiritual connection with calligraphy and get to practice different groups of letters on paper and in second half you will learn some good positive words in the calligraphy and after practicing them on large paper you can write on a small canvas and take it home as a finished piece.
