Marketing sPECIALIST

Report to Director of Museum Operations

Part-time position, two days a week or more

Salary: commensurate with education and experience

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or better

Art or advertisement background

Online marketing skills

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under the guidance of the Director of Museum Operations, engage in vigorous activities of marketing for the museum:

Update the website; weekly write and upload marketing materials on social media sites; prepare traditional advertisement for media companies; prepare quarterly newsletters; design brochures, signs, and posters; procure marketing materials and literature; assist the Program Assistant in promoting programs and events.

 

Within the limits of the budget, creates and implements a marketing plan to promote the museum with businesses, other museums, travel agencies, hotels, schools, community agencies, and local/national media to increase museum patronage.
